By joining, associating with, or engaging in any CKCYSDA activity, all associations, organizations, Coordinators, volunteers, partners, and participants ("Members") explicitly agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
Your participation constitutes binding acceptance of these terms. Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of membership without notice.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between each Member and CKCYSDA. Continued participation after any amendments constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
No verbal agreements, side agreements, or informal understandings override these written Terms and Conditions.
CKCYSDA is an umbrella coalition of community-based, youth, student, trade, and charity associations operating within Kiru Local Government Area, Kano State, Nigeria.
The coalition exists exclusively for:
Uniting diverse associations under a single platform
Coordinating community development initiatives
Amplifying collective voice for Kiru LGA development
Promoting sustainable development and youth empowerment
Fostering collaboration and resource sharing
CKCYSDA operates under a unique coordination model without conventional hierarchical leadership
No Chairmen, Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, or traditional executive roles
Each member association appoints one (1) Coordinator to represent them
All Coordinators participate equally in decision-making processes
No Coordinator holds authority over another. All are equal representatives
The collective body of all Coordinators forms the Coordinators Council, which is the supreme decision-making body of CKCYSDA.
| Council Function | Description | Decision Mode |
|---|---|---|
| Policy Making | Establish coalition policies and guidelines | Consensus or 2/3 Majority |
| Program Approval | Approve development programs and initiatives | Simple Majority |
| Membership Decisions | Admit new associations or terminate membership | 3/4 Majority |
| Financial Oversight | Approve budgets and financial decisions | 2/3 Majority |
Faithfully represent association's interests in all coalition matters

Actively participate in meetings and activities
Ensure association complies with coalition decisions
Abide by decisions made through proper channels
Uphold highest standards of conduct in coalition activities
Avoid actions that divide or weaken the coalition
This is CKCYSDA's most fundamental and non-negotiable principle
Any political involvement results in IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT termination of membership
No warnings, no second chances, no appeals process
Working with Government ≠ Political Activity
CKCYSDA may collaborate with government agencies on development projects only, but must maintain complete political neutrality. Any government collaboration must be transparent, development-focused, and approved by the Coordinators Council.
By participating in CKCYSDA activities, I acknowledge that:

This section describes the operational leadership structure implemented in CKCYSDA's coordination system. CKCYSDA's governing bodies should review this section against Section 3 (Governance & Coordination Structure) to confirm consistency, as CKCYSDA's organizational framework has developed since Section 3 was first adopted.
CKCYSDA's coordination system operates across four organizational dimensions, each with a distinct scope. Positions within this structure are appointments made to carry out defined responsibilities on behalf of the coalition — not permanent titles of ownership or authority over the coalition itself. Appointments are subject to review and may be founding/interim where CKCYSDA's activity history is still being established.
Organization-wide direction, policy, administration, and accountability. Principal offices: Council President, Vice President, Secretary-General (with an Assistant Secretary-General), Financial Secretary (with an Assistant Financial Secretary), Treasurer, Organizing Secretary, Public Relations Officer (with supporting Media & Publicity, Digital & Social Media, and Community Communication officers), and Welfare & Membership Officer.
Each Zone has a Zone Coordinator, Zone Secretary, and Zone PRO, coordinating CKCYSDA activity across the Wards within that Zone.
Each Ward has a Ward Coordinator, Ward Secretary, and Ward PRO, coordinating local CKCYSDA activity and connecting the coalition with communities and associations in that Ward.
Each specialized Community Unit (e.g. Health, Security & Safety, Education, and others as approved) has a Unit Coordinator, Unit Secretary, and Unit PRO, providing technical/subject-matter coordination for that Unit's area of work.
Individual projects may have their own temporary leadership team (Project Coordinator, Deputy Project Coordinator, Project Secretary, Project Officers, and Project Volunteers). These roles exist only for the duration of the specific project and do not alter or replace a member's permanent position within CKCYSDA's Central, Zone, Ward, or Unit structure.
Where CKCYSDA has not yet accumulated sufficient verified activity history to base an appointment on demonstrated performance, the appropriate existing governance authority may make an appointment on a Founding/Interim basis. Such appointments are recorded and disclosed as such and remain subject to review.
Leadership within CKCYSDA is a responsibility entrusted by the coalition, exercised on its behalf, and remains at all times subject to CKCYSDA's governance, oversight, and periodic review.
